Green for Eternity

The opening of the first natural burial ground in the Triad region of North Carolina was announced on All Souls Day, November 2, 2019. Located at Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church on Jefferson Road in Greensboro, the All Souls Natural Burial Ground is set on 3 acres of beautiful, wooded terrain leading to a tranquil stream, with easy access for visitors.

Our Mission

Natural burial has been the traditional form of burial for most of human history. Natural burial allows the remains of the deceased to return to nature with minimal negative impact on the natural ecosystem. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for environmentally-minded people to return to the earth and replenish its nutrients.

All Souls Natural Burial Association, Inc

A number of individuals and organizations in Greensboro and throughout the Triad worked for years to bring the idea of natural burial to fruition.  All Souls Natural Burial Association (ASNBA) was formed in February 2019 when the Piedmont Interfaith Burial Conservation Society, Inc. partnered with St. Barnabas Episcopal Church to form ASNBA and open All Souls Natural Burial Ground.
